Part One: Visions

Chapter One [Not yet complete] [/center] [/size]

Autumn opened her hazel eyes, being greeted by the warm sunlight that filtered through the bedroom window. The white curtains were drawn back, allowing the full amount of sunlight into the room. Her sister, Carolynn, lay across the room in a bed fairly similar to her own. Shifting slightly, Autumn could see that the three boys; Joe, Sam, and Darren were awake. Yawning widely and stretching her arms above her head, she rubbed her eyes and sat up. Running her fingers delicately through her long silky hair, she swung her feet over the side of the bed. Adjusting her black sports bra, she stood up. Twisting her black short into place, she arched her back forward, smiling as it cracked. With a sweet, deep sigh she walked over to Joe’s bed; the very first one when you walk in the door. The wooden floor was cool beneath Autumn’s bare feet and it felt nice. Autumn took notice of each boy’s necklace. They all had one, but they usually didn’t wear them to bed. Then she remembered that they had all just crashed from staying up so late that night, exploring the forest behind their house. Sitting on the bed gingerly, she looked at each boy. Her eyes went to their necklaces first; Joe’s was a golden star charm with a silver chain, Sam had an orange sun with a brilliant blue chain, and Darren’s was a white rose with a bright red chain. Putting her hand on her own necklace that touched the center of her chest, she felt the crescent moon shape. The moon was a crimson, bloody red and the chain was a thin ribbon of black. Rolling her shoulders back, Autumn dropped her hand and pushed her hair over her shoulder.
“What time did you guys wake up?” she whispered. Joe turned his head toward the clock, moving his black hair out of his eyes.
“Sam and I have been up for about an hour. Darren just woke up about five minutes before you.” Joe replied softly, looking at Carolynn and Caytlin to make sure he didn’t wake them up. Sam nodded and yawned slightly, cracking his knuckles. Joe shot him a small glare and he smiled, shrugging. Autumn rolled her eyes and smiled, looking at each boy. All three of them were only wearing shorts and their necklaces. Which was very normal; guys only wore shorts, girls wore sports bras and shorts. Except for Carolynn who wore an over-sized shirt that Joe had given her and a pair of shorts.
